It´s simply not possible to respond to the needs of employers from one day to the next. It can take several weeks or months until the foreign workers arrive and begin working. A - FOREIGN WORKER recruitment FROM abroad (third countries)

Providing international recruitment mediation and placement services of third country workers is a far more difficult and complex than many imagine. There´s a lot more than meets the eye.

The Foreign Workers Lda undertakes this activity with great caution and high sense of responsibility aiming to safeguard the legitimate interests of the parties involved – our clients and the foreign citizens they aim to hire.

We undertake our activity in close collaboration with various licenced recruitment agencies in the source countries – only this way can we secure the best possible match between the employers´ needs – our clients – and the expectation of the third country nationals.

Stages of the process:
  1. Meeting with the employer to showcase the services we provide, our methodology and take note of the particularities and specific requirements at hand.
  2. When and if the client is interesting in proceeding with the international recruitment process an international recruitment mediation service agreement is signed by both parties. The employer is also invited to complete a Staff Requisition Form, sign a term of responsibility and provide the documentation required to put the Agreement in action.
  3. The agencies abroad with whom we work with then begin the process of recruiting and selecting workers and managing the whole visa application process.
  4. Upon arrival at destination country, Foreign Workers Lda handles airport pick-up and transportation to the pre-arranged place of accommodation. We also accompany and provide support with all integration and legalization issues, particularly, ascertaining that the foreign workers obtain taxpayer and social security numbers and open up bank accounts.
  5. We are always at the ready to accompany and provide support and guidance to the employers and the foreign workers.

B - Placement of workers RESIDING IN PORTUGAL abroad

Placement of workers residing in Portugal in European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA) countries and other developed countries.

Foreign Workers Lda strives to satisfy the needs of clients across all areas of economic activity – recruiting and selecting workers with the profile and experience our external clients are searching for.

Our commitment is to do all within our power to meet employer and worker expectations by providing a high degree of satisfaction with the service provided.
We emphasize that the placement service we provide is not at all related to posting workers abroad – the workers are directly hired by the employer abroad (the “client”).

Stages of the process:

1 – Meeting with the employer to showcase the services we provide, our methodology and take note of the particularities and specific requirements at hand.
2 – When and if the client is interesting in proceeding with the international recruitment process an international recruitment mediation service agreement is signed by both parties. The employer is also invited to complete a Staff Requisition Form, sign a term of responsibility and provide the documentation required to put the Agreement in action.
3 – The whole process is entirely managed in Portugal. The employer is more than welcome to take part in the process and always has the final word regarding the candidates proposed by Foreign Workers Lda for the job vacancies.
4 – On the agreed date the worker departs to the destination country to take up his job position. Formally, Foreign Workers intervention and responsibility has come to an end. However, Foreign Workers will always be just a stone´s throw away to provide accompaniment and support whenever requested.

Fees:
Our clients will be invoiced a fee indexed to the gross salary of each worker supplied by us – an agreed to percentage that fluctuates depending on a given number of variables, namely, duration of the contract, level of qualification and experience, demand and supply and the average gross wage.
For example, if a worker earns a salary of 2000€/month and 7% index rate has been agreed to, the employer will be invoiced 140€ (7% of 2000€). Following a period that may extend up to 24 months, the contractual obligation to pay the fee is terminated even if the workers stays on with the employer.
